Rōpū Whānau

Fundraising go towards?

At Te Uru Karaka Newton Central School we value any contribution whānau make to our kura. The money we raise from our community all go back into our kura.

We are on a journey of enhancing our environment so your contribution goes towards the following areas of the kura:

  • Ngahere restoration: we are in the process of establishing the layers needed in a forest so we use your contribution to plant ground cover, plants and trees.
  • Repair different areas of our kura: from decks to fencing.
  • Classroom resources for our structured literacy approach.

Our current fund-rasing goals are:

  1. $20,000 to get our court painting upgraded.
  2. $20,000 to purchase the next set of structured literacy resources.
  3. Upgrading our P.E. equipment.

If these are areas you would like to support us with, please contact Matua Bryan.
