Our school library boasts an extensive and comprehensive range of books for reading and research.
Children are encouraged to use the library through a variety of activities. It is open in the lunch time breaks.
Children are allowed to loan 2 books per week.
Teachers take their class once a week to the library for a library lesson, returning and issuing books. They often share stories and take a lesson on building library skills and knowledge.
We show our school values in the whare pukapuka (library) by..
Truth – Right place, right time and doing the right thing.
Excellence – I know how to use the library to find books for research and for pleasure.
Respect – I enter, move around and exit the library in an orderly way.
Aroha – I take care of the books, equipment and furniture. I enjoy and value the opportunity to read a wide range of books for research and for pleasure.
