Tunnel Boring Machine Naming Competition – Announcement Youtube
A tunnel boring machine is coming to Auckland later this year to dig two tunnels from Mt Eden Station to Aotea Station. Traditionally, these machines are names for good luck and so we are looking for suggestions of ground-breaking New Zealand women.
At Newton, we are giving every students and member of public the chance to vote either digital or simply putting their vote in the box available in the reception area. This box will be collected on 5 March 2020 from our reception. The competition ends 31 March 202.

The idea is to have a box easily accessible to people to help enable voting and raise awareness. There is a prize package.
