Inner City Cross Country
The Year 5 and 6 cross country team represented Newton Central School in an exemplary manner at the Inner City Cross Country at Grey Lynn Park on Thursday 30 May. It’s a tough course and a highly competitive field – every one of our students gave it their all. Our school values TERA were evident in the way our students supported each other and also looked out for runners from other schools who needed a helping hand. Some had to overcome discomfort and disappointment but didn’t let it get them down.
Outstanding results from Amelia Rm13, 5th in the 9 year old girls’ race, and Payton Rm14, 7th in the 10 and 11 year old girls. A huge thank you for the whānau support.
