New Zealand’s Alert Levels are changing. At 12 noon on Wednesday 12 August, Auckland will move to Alert Level 3. The rest of New Zealand will move to Alert Level 2

For Wednesday 12 August, Newton Central School will be closed until further notice. We will inform our school community later today on when we will open for children of Essential Workers.
The expectations is that teachers will come to work to teach the children of essential workers. We ask all Essential Workers to contact the school via email so we can plan our teaching team bubbles and prepare the spaces for learning. Here is a link for information on essential workers.
Please ensure you continue to support good hygiene practices with these students and also undertake physical distancing.
