JUST A FEW DAYS TO GO UNTIL OUR ART EXHIBITION!
Thursday August 22nd, 5:30-7:30pm.
It’s going to be a great night! The talented Julia Darling will be providing live music and we have professional art auctioneer, Ben Plumbly from Art+Object, running the auction. We will also be running a craft stall to keep the kids occupied.
There will be plenty of yummy food and drinks… a sausage sizzle, the famous NCS pizzas, Kiri’s fantastic chilli and Te Rawhina and Alick’s amazing pulled pork rolls, plus Charlies juices, Whittaker’s hot chocolate and mulled ‘wine’, and heaps of home baking! All food and drink sales will be with tickets, (1 ticket = $1) which will be available for purchase from the office. Pre-sales of tickets will start on Monday 19th. Avoid the queues on the night by pre-purchasing your tickets!
Individual artwork sales will also start in the office on Monday 19th for anyone wishing to purchase in advance.
We are trialing a new layout this year, as shown in the map. Individual artworks will be on display in Te Whare Tapere, as usual, and available for purchase by cash, EFTPOS or tickets in TWT. The collaborative works will be displayed in Whaea Marie’s room, Room 3. The food stalls and auction will be in the courtyard in front of Rooms 1-6.
All proceeds from this year’s Art Exhibition will go towards an upgrade to the Junior playground and the establishment of a covered play area outside rooms 1-6. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year so please be generous when purchasing the wonderful artworks on offer.
