E rapu ana mātou o Te Kura a Rito o Newton i tētahi pouako matatau ki te reo me ōna tikanga ki te tū hei pouako taupua ki te whakaako i ngā tamariki i te whānau rūmaki rānei, i te whānau reo rua rānei mō te katoa o 2021.

Me mātau te kaitono ki:

  • Reo Māori me ōna tikanga
  • Te tū hei pouako tautōhito
  • Te whakaako i te akomanga rūmaki, te akomanga reo rua rānei
  • Te mahi tahi me te ranga pouako o Te Aka Pūkāea
  • Te Marautanga o Aotearoa me ngā aromatawai whakawhanake
  • Te whakamahi i ngā pūkenga whakaako rautaki hopu reo rua
  • Te whakapakari hononga i waenga i ngā ākonga, ngā whanau me ngā hoa mahi hoki. 

Due to study leave, we are looking for an enthusiastic, Māori speaking team player to join our passionate Māori medium whānau in a fixed-term capacity, to teach in either our Level 1 or Level 2 Māori medium units in our ILE for 2021. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a fluent speaker of te reo Māori and well versed in tikanga Māori
  • Has strong classroom practice
  • Is prepared to teach in either total immersion or bilingual
  • Has good working knowledge of the Marautanga o Aotearoa and various relevant assessment tools for Māori medium
  • Has experience with second language acquisition teaching strategies
  • Is good at building relationships with ākonga, whānau and hoa mahi.
