After School Care Service

We have an after school care programme that is run by Helen Ngariki from 3pm to 5.30pm every school day. Booking is essential. Please ring the school, preferably a week in advance, to make bookings. After school care is housed on the school grounds in the school hall. Demand for this facility is high and we have a maximum capacity of 30 children. A waiting list is established for those needing the facility in the event of a vacancy arising.

Terms and Conditions

  1. After School Care is provided from 3pm until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
    • Permanent fees are $10.00 per session per child.
    • Casual fees are $12.00 per session per child.
    • Exception: Permanent Monday to Friday from 3-3:30pm fees are $20.00 per week.
  2. I/We agree to pay 50c per minute per child 'late fee' for care after the session ends (at 3.30pm or 5.30pm)
  3. I/We agree to make payment in advance for the use of this service. I/We understand that each use of the service without prepayment will automatically incur a penalty charge of $5.00.
  4. For casual attendance:
    • I/We agree to notify the school at least one day in advance by phone or in writing when my/our child/ren will be attending after school care.
    • I/We understand that in an emergency, advance notification can be made on the same day the child/ren is/are attending after school care.
    • I/We understand that non-notification of attendance will automatically incur a penalty charge of $5.00.
  5. I/We agree to inform the school immediately of changes to the information provided on the after school care enrolment form.
  6. I/We agree that the supervisor of after school care may arrange any urgent medical treatment for my/our child/ren at my/our cost. I/We understand that I/we will be informed as soon as possible of any emergency.
  7. I/We understand the after school care providers will take the utmost care to provide proper supervision of all children at each session. I/We also understand that no personal liability will be incurred in respect of any act of omission arising from any session or activity of the service.
